Gray Ghost Ventures (GGV) is the brain child of Robert Pattillo, who was inspired while fishing off the coast of the Bahamas. While lost in thought in knee-deep water, a "Gray Ghost" swam by and the association stuck.

The gray ghost fish is the Bonefish, an extremely strong fish known for very fast and long runs. This is the symbol for GGV’s investment philosophy, stability and long-term commitment to social and financial value creation.
